Pasadena Social Security attorney Joshua Potter was a guest lecturer for Professor Kim’s California State University, Los Angeles, graduate class on September 18, 2018. The 31 students in her Introduction to Rehabilitation and Case Management were engaged interested and lost track of time.
The topic of the day was “The Disability Rights Community & Disability Issues in a Global Context”. We explored complex ideas that underpin the disability program and defined the “golden thread” that links cardio vascular disability, auto-immune disability and mental illness as an analytical tool. The students were exposed to real world concepts like the Tarasoff warning and the traps of the Title 16 program. A good time was had by all.
