Joshua Potter spoke at the November national Social Security disability conference in Seattle. His topic, “ Photographic Evidence” was well received by a large , enthusiastic audience of attorneys. Through the use of examples, and exercises, the attendees were able to see firsthand how many of the diseases identified in Appendix 1 of the Regulations , “listings” were illustrated by photographs. The audience practiced with the cell phones making a composed picture.
The lecture focused on telling the client’s story. Potter urged the audience to embrace new technology, but always remember to make the picture tell the story of disability whether orthopedic, psychiatric or cardiovascular.
